How to Update Huawei P9 Plus to Android 6.0 Resurrection Remix Marshmallow Custom ROM

This amazing ROM is basically a combination of some popular ROMs including LineageOS. This is one Rom that we have been recommending everyone for a very long time now. The best thing is that it comes with regular OTA updates. If you find a problem in the ROM, just report it and the developers will fix it in no time. In the article, we will teach you how to update Huawei P9 Plus to Android 6.0 Resurrection Remix. The current ROM is for Android Marshmallow, but it will soon be upgraded to Android Nougat.

Prerequisites

>> Download USB drivers of Huawei P9 on your computer. It is important that you download only the latest and they should be installed properly on your computer.
>> If you are facing issues while connecting your phone to your Personal computer, it is because you have not enabled the USB debugging mode. So, before you get to do the main procedure, we highly recommend that you check whether the USB debugging mode is enabled or not. It is it is disabled, please Enable it.

>> To install Remix ROM, it is highly important that you phone has a custom recovery installed.
>> Perform a Dalvik Cache once you enter the Recovery Mode.

How to Update Huawei P9 Plus to Android 6.0 Resurrection Remix Marshmallow Custom ROM:

> Download Android 6.0 Resurrection Remix ROM on your computer. The ROM should be for your computer.
> Mount the memory of your phone onto your computer by connecting it via USB. Mounting the memory would allow you to copy any file from your computer to your phone.
> Paste the file that you downloaded in the first step onto your phone’s memory. Make sure it is directly on the memory and not on the folder or any subfolder.
> Switch off the mobile and disconnect from the computer.
> Now you have to reboot your phone, but you need to enter the Recovery mode. To enter the recovery mode, you should press the Power buttons along with the Volume Down button.
> Once in the recovery mode, the first thing that you need to do is factory resetting. To do this, you have to swipe the “Swipe to Factory Reset” option.
Done! It’s time for you to go to the main menu and from there, you need to install the Android 6.0 Resurrection Remix zip file on your phone.
> To start the installation process, you have to swipe the “Swipe to Confirm Flash” option. Doing this would instigate the installation process
> If you get stuck in boot loops or you come across any error, you should perform the “Wipe Dalvik Cache” option.
> After this, reboot your phone. If this is the first time that you rooting your phone. It is going to take about 5 minutes. So, we suggest that you be patient.
