Jamie’s Italian is the perfect place for Italian specialties in Dublin.
Jamie Oliver is a celebrity chef with huge fan following. He has quite a few restaurants across Europe serving the very dishes Jamie has devised, tested and tried himself. One of his restaurants is Jamie’s Italian located in Dundrum, Dublin, the capital city of Ireland.
The restaurant is situated in a very posh shopping mall where you will find many a food oriented brands. His restaurant has a humble and domestic outer look with lovely sitting area outside the entrance enveloped in picket fence and large shades. The interior is as lovely with chunks of meat hanging, ornamental fruits and vegetables seen here and there. Jamie’s guru, Gennario Contaldi’s videos being played on the flatscreens. The lighting is neither too bright nor very dim, just perfect for a lovely dine out.

The ambience is very comely with abstract artform and personnel touch in the background. The seating is very Italian with medium sized tables and chairs contrary to the usual Americanised restaurant furniture which is enormous with big couches and tables and chairs.
The menu is short and delicious. No one category is stuffed with dishes and it is a big turn on for real foodies. Looking at an extensive menu normally kills the appetite instead of increasing it. It is always tough to choose from a large variety of cuisines or dishes but in Jamie’s Italian one can easily choose from any of the items, may it be nibbles, antipasti, pizza or dessert.
Being an Italian restaurant, Jamie’s Italian serves freshly made pasta right in the restaurant. Many people have no idea about the pasta they eat comes from the super market. But this is not the case in any of the restaurants run by Jamie Oliver. He takes special pride in delivering his customers with the freshest and the best.

The prices and portion sizes are not for the people who are prone to stuffing themselves in less money. With a three course meal; starter, entree and dessert, per head cost would be 20 euros minimum which is not bad at all given all the factors. The staff is extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. It is always a blessing in disguise if you get to have a comfortable environment outside the four walls of your house.
Overall, Jamie’s Italian is a place one can not go once and forget about it. There is always a second plan and then a third and so on and so forth. It is a must try if you’re visiting Ireland or live here.
