Samsung’s Bixby is going to be better than Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant.
Along with many other fascinating features, the coolest of all things Samsung will be bringing in its new venture is a Siri-like digital assistant, that reviews users movement to offer supportive tips and data information. Samsung won’t be the first one to jump into artificial intelligence in it’s devices. The company’s main archival Apple has already introduced something similar in it’s iPhone. But Samsung might just surpass Apple and others in this digital assistant’s race.
The Galaxy S8 is going to have a side button that will be able to activate a digital assistant, called Bixby. It was briefed in a pre-launch briefing. Bixby will be able to analyze user’s activities and figure out their interest in different products and can also provide information about the manufacture of those products including the price and origin of production.
The company is relying heavily on its latest venture to bounce back and recover its worldwide lead in smartphone sales, after last years debacle of Galaxy Note 7 which kept getting fired-up, costing Samsung billions of dollars and a big mark on it’s sales.
The developers explained in a briefing,
Bixby is going to be Samsung’s reply to Apple’s Siri, Google’s Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa. It will be installed all through the S8’s interace and will work pair with applications like Pinterest and Amazon to draw information.
The South Korean based company called Suwon added, that they are going to pick up more partners to attain more information for Bixby.
Bixby was developed in-house rather than through Viv Labs Inc., which it acquired in October, according to Samsung. Viv Labs’ founders helped create Siri for iPhones.
